Allies in Youth Development

In 2011 a University of Texas at Arlington study abroad trip to Eastern Europe birthed a deep desire in team members to help children in area orphanages. After meeting some family members of the largest Eastern European family, with over 50 adopted children, several conversations between Chris Burgin, Founder and CEO, Dr. Tatiana Baeva, Director of International Relations, and others led them to seek ways to render change. They set out to encourage and empower Eastern European university students to help orphans develop life skills in order to escape the poverty and hopelessness that awaits them. Now, Allies also has sites in Africa, Asia, and South America.

Mission

Allies in Youth Development provides donors, advocates, and volunteers the organization they need to rescue orphans from a future of despair by providing them with human connection, life skills and a pathway to education.

Impact

Orphan’s lives are being changed, they are being protected from human traffickers, and many are making the decision to follow Christ–worldwide.

Mentoring

We recruit and train mentors to provide educational opportunities, build relational bridges, and lead seminars to teach orphans basic life skills.

Christmas in July

Many orphans in Eastern Europe lack the basic necessities like shoes, clothing, and even a bar of soap. We invite you to partner with us to give these children “Christmas in July”

Training

Our organization provides training to inform older orphans about the human trafficking industry and give them steps to avoid being caught.

Special Support

Allies provides financial support to adoptive families, single mothers and special needs orphans who are aging out of the system.

Materials

We provide hygiene products, school supplies, toys and clothing to orphans monthy.

Go on a Trip
